a meet with a legend: JAMES BAXTER!!

guys this was one of the MOST memorable moments of my life!! I MET JAMES BAXTER!! someone who's worked on classics like Who framed Roger Rabbit, The Lion King, The Little Mermaid, and recent hits like Enchanted and Kung Fu Panda (the hand drawn sequences ofcourse!). it was awesome seeing someone so IMMENSELY talented standing just a few feet away from me!!

well before i get too carried away, lemme just tell u what happened... james was here visiting india and he held a session at the asifa fest 'international animation day' held in bangalore on 6th nov 2008.

it was a 3 hour session which was divided into the first hour of teaching about acting and body mechanics; second hour of the making of the 2D sequence of kung fu panda that his studio did; and the final hour of question answer session.

the session was OUT OF THIS WORLD!! esp the part where he talked abt kung fu panda. it was AMAZING to know how he worked on it!! very inspiring!

whew! well i have found one article on james baxter's lecture on acting, body mechanics, lipsync etc. it's awesome! check it out!!
