Hey Guys, here is a nice article by Bill Miller about why there is whining among Indian animators when they are compared with there western counterparts and why that's absolutely wrong ! :)

haha...nice ^_^ but i know for a fact that we need to work more hard..
but i also feel that, its not the only problem, lot off ppl r not lucky enough to have a good faculty, to make there foundation stronger.
just my thoughts
Cheers ^_^

Wow its really inspiring. I wish bill was still my animation supervisor. Worked under him for an year and its was awesome. he used to give some great tips and words of wisdom. And he nailed it on this article, we Indians might be new to this industry but m sure we are all smart and creative and we got lots of things around us to explore. As bill said just "WORK HARD". thats the only key to any thing. Thanx a lot bill for this article and prasad for posting it.

Bill! That article was nice. the very thing bill kept saying and making me do when i was in training under him..hard work. but harish's point is also relevant.. somebody said 'animation boom' and every tom dick and harry started animation-training-schools. it's hard to know which one is good enough to join and learn the craft until somebody try it and fail..and those who did, came out and joined places, gone to top with their experience and lesser competition (well,by no means,i an talking about 'all of them' there are extremely talented guys i really admire too,but in general..). so to be on top, u should work the artist out from within. my policy is a bit different from bill. it's 'Never compare..never set a someone else's quality as your goal. if you can do animation,or any sort of art..do it for yourself, work on it until you are happy with it..and last thing- never get happy with it..:D

Set your own standards..dream your own goal..and go for it. it won't matter where you work, you will definitely progress towards the best...however slow that may be !
