After seeing the making of the film, you  might ask "Why??", but  this is pretty insane stuff! I remember a similar effect achieved in those Popeye cartoons where the backgrounds were miniature sets and the animation was on cell. I don't think they had laser cutting back then! Anyhow this must have been fun!! :)
