Animation is like drum beats

Hey folks, Here is some interesting observation i made. Animation is more like drum beats. Y? hmmm. I dunno about u guys, it works for me. Just try this out. Take a beat. Analise it and try animating with the beat. Its awesome. Listen to some drumming and try relating it to animation. Its very similar. In drums u start playing a beat and suddenly u change the beat. the whole mood and rhythm changes. Likewise in animation. u start giving variation in the performance. It looks beautiful. Just try this. This is some thing i try out all the time. It works. Cos we humans relate to music very fast. A simple exercise to try out is , take a ball rig. Take a beat which has a lot variation. While the beat changes, Start playing around with timing,speed,bounces and use the space on the screen.Manuittina ( My Mentor) always used to say animation is like orchestra. U need every instrument to get that melody.hehe.wierd eh? Thats all folks Cheers vinay ( admin )

Today, while I was going through our Animation Monsters Blog, I found so many links that lead to informative stuff and great animators and artists. They are such a treasure for an aspiring animator. The matter is also inspirational and helpful in accelerating the enthusiasm in one to animate with more fun. If not in this Blog, I would have found these links somewhere else, but maybe at a very very later stage. But here it is, right at the time when we all need it. So, I would like to THANK our Blog Admins and Senior Animators, Vinay and Kasana for taking such an initiative to start this blog and to encourage us to participate in it. This is a platform for us to improvise on our works and keep going. I hope that we be successful in taking this Blog far far away to a higher level. All the best to my Monster Buddies! Excuse Me....but Its about INDIA

HI Monsters Please excuse me for this post. But I take it as my onus to Inform all about this Article. As this awareness will bring something good to INDIA. DID YOU know that there is a provision in the Constitution of India, as per the Conduct of Elections Rules, 1969 Act, in Section 49-O that a person can go to the polling booth, confirm his identity, get his finger marked, and convey to the presiding election officer that he/she doesn’t want to vote for anyone! Yes, such a feature is available, but obviously these seemingly notorious leaders have never disclosed it. It is called "49-O". 49-O: The voter (or elector) deciding not to vote: If an elector, after his electoral roll number has been duly entered in the register of voters in Form-17A and has put his signature or thumb impression thereon as required under sub-rule (1) of rule 49L, decided not to record his vote, a remark to this effect shall be made against the said entry in Form 17A by the presiding officer and the signature or thumb impression of the elector shall be obtained against such remark. If you think none of the candidates at the ward / constituency are able enough to lead the community, you can always opt not to vote, but if you will use this right of yours you may start a new things in our electoral process, which will further strengthen our democracy. It is useful in the following way: In a ward or constituency, if a candidate wins, say by ’x’ votes, and that particular ward has received "49-O" votes more than x, then that polling will be cancelled and will have to be re-polled. Not only that, but the candidature of the contestants will be removed and they cannot contest the re-polling, since people have already expressed their decision on them. This would bring fear into parties and hence look for genuine candidates for their parties for election. This would change the way of our whole political system. It is seemingly surprising why the election commission has not revealed such a feature to the public. Please spread the word about this and make our fellow countrymen aware of this right. No political party (or conventional media) would campaign for it. It’s yours and my duty. So, let’s go ahead from today! Woooooo..... KASANA __________________

So finally ultrasound report of character has told How our Monster will look alike. Monster is expected to come this week. In the meantime please all monsters be prepared for the NAMING CEREMONY. Final Fantasy

So here is the results for our Monsters. Their is tie between 7 and 9th In the second place with 5 votes each is 14 and 24. The third place goes again to monsters 17 and 22 with 4 votes each... and the runner up is 10 with 3 vote. So in this week we will work out on both the character. Time to Finalize the Logo!

Hi Lil Monsters, It is a month and little more since our blog has started. It is going OK till now, except for the full participation and one of the most important thing, THE LOGO. Kasana, Vinay and Girish have been working on the logo for a long time now. It is high time that we come to a conclusion and finalize our Monster Logo. One more thing is that we have been only researching till now on the monster rather than developing one. Everytime we come with new characters, but we have to select one and develop it. Just take a look at the designs and decide which one would be the best. The designs are: Come on now everybody, it has been made more easier for you all now. All you have to do is to vote for the best of these and the logo will be finalized. If anybody has any more good ideas, they are most welcome. But please post them before Friday, 7th December, 2007. Finish your work in time!

Sometimes we just get bored of our assignments. We work on a single assignment for weeks and then realize that we can no more look at the same old file open. We all must have faced this at a certain point of time in our animation careers as a student or professional. There is a simple example Kasana told me, which will be helpful to all of us. Try this, take a glass of water half filled or full, whatever, hold it in your hand for sometime. At first you will feel that the glass is light. But as little time passes, it gets heavier and heavier and our hand starts paining. So too with the assignments, if you don't finish it in time, it will become pressurizing and difficult to keep up with the new assignments. We may also get bored with work. So, keep working on them and finish them in time. Remember, Pizzas taste good when eaten hot. Same way, assignments are interesting if you can manage to keep them new. Keep adding and keep pushing.
